I spoke to Craig (the writer) for 30 min this morning. They are not going to do another story too soon, but he's interested in hearing from more of us about our situation and what's happening under the glossed over version they just printed in the PoJo.
Call Craig Wolf at the Poughkeepsie Journal at 845-437-4815. If enough of us speak with him, they're bound to print something that fleshes the story out a little more clearly in how it's effecting the people directly involved!
Beacon Open Studios is a city-wide art event, connecting local artist and their studios to the public. BOS allows you an up-close look at what artists do behind closed doors. Visitors and art enthusiasts have total viewing access to workspaces where artists display past, current and artworks in progress. BOS aspires to bring visitors from the surrounding areas to create a stronger sense of awareness of Beacon as an art destination. With more than 50 participating artists last year, we happily expect this year’s event to exceed 70 participants. Beacon Open Studios is in its second year, scheduled for September 25-26, 2010.
