Wednesday March 23rd at 6:30 there will be a BACA meeting at 211 Fishkill Ave aka Beacon Studios. Ethan Cohen will fill us in on his plans for the building-if he bothers to show up.
Beacon Open Studios is a city-wide art event, connecting local artist and their studios to the public. BOS allows you an up-close look at what artists do behind closed doors. Visitors and art enthusiasts have total viewing access to workspaces where artists display past, current and artworks in progress. BOS aspires to bring visitors from the surrounding areas to create a stronger sense of awareness of Beacon as an art destination. With more than 50 participating artists last year, we happily expect this year’s event to exceed 70 participants. Beacon Open Studios is in its second year, scheduled for September 25-26, 2010.
